| | 3 Easy DIY Tips to SEO Your Website (That won’t cost you a cent!)So you have a website – Great! With 4 out of 5 Australians now using the internet to search for the products and services they use it certainly pays to be found online. But how do you get found? A little effort with your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) can help. Here are some simple DIY tips for SEO that can keep your website moving up the search engine rankings. 1. Listen to your customers Of course you listen to your customers but how is that related to good SEO? Pay attention to the words and phrases that your customers are using to describe your products and services. It is likely that these are the same terms being entered into search engines looking for businesses like yours. There is no point ranking well for ‘purchase modern attire’ when your potential customers are searching to ‘buy new clothes’. Edit your content accordingly. 2. Organise links to your website Ever wondered why some websites seems to have very little content but outrank you on search engines. One explanation may be link strategy. Links pointing to your website from relevant sources boost your online ranking. You can start by adding your website to free business directories, forums and relevant industry websites. Reciprocal links with relevant websites can be useful too although one way links to your website are usually better for your ranking. 3. Keep your website fresh If you just ‘set and forget’ your website your search engine ranking won’t improve. Search Engines (like Google) love websites that stay up to date and keep fresh content. If you are struggling to think what to do, try adding some new photos, a company update, or a special offer. Just make sure the content on your website remains fresh, original and relevant.

We all have dreams of one day owning that elusive beach house, or country home we see in those beautiful glossy magazines showing the oh so perfect homes, with fabulous furnishings, and accessories that ALL match. I have always had a passion for fashion, homewares and art. Unfortunately the budget does not always allow purchase of all of the beautiful treasures that are constantly shown online and in magazines. I figured if I can’t have the expensive goodies I would find some that looked the same and were more affordable, then make them available to others on my website. Plus, I would give FREE advice on how to use these goodies to enhance your homes.
www.elysiuminteriordesign.com.au is that website. I also decided to create my own art using beautiful fabrics over canvases. That way I have unique art created in any size I like. You can do it too. Just take a look at a fabric store that has printed or embroidered fabrics for sale. It’s great if you can get off cuts. You will usually only need up to a meter depending on the size of your canvas. You can buy canvases from Crazy Clarks or similar bargain stores. Try and buy some colours that match the theme of the room you are decorating. You will also need a good staple gun. Ok, let’s do it. 1. Lay the fabric directly over the canvas 2. Staple one end of the fabric to the canvas 3. Stretch the fabric very tightly across horizontally from your staple so you have two opposite sides stapled 4. Do the same on the top and bottom. 5. Tie a piece of string on the back and you are ready to hang your master piece!! Easy and no mess! Voila I am surrounded by beautiful art, and my website Elysium Interior Design is brimming with a variety of extremely affordable bowls, candles, cushions children’s garden tools, platters, jugs, and many other items that are all useful, fashionable and unique – Without the huge price tags! Whether you want to decorate an entire room or just add a few accent pieces to your existing décor, the website is full of options so please take a look. www.elysiuminteriordesign.com.au Mother’s day is coming up so take a look at gift ideas and new arrivals. The “Smood Masher” as seen on Better Homes and Gardens is amazing. Everyone who has one says “best mashed tattees ever!” And the new heart wall picture display is very funky. It will hold lots of your favourite pictures that others can enjoy looking at when they come to your home. You can also contact me via my website for FREE Interior Design advice! Happy Shopping Cheryl
