When you’re using an iPhone or an iPad we recommend using the markup feature in the iOS Mail app. It makes it easy to draw in and annotate PDFs (as well as do a bunch of other things) as well as synching to your Mac (if you have one).

Easy as 1,2,3…

Step 1: Open your document

Using the Mail app on your device, open your PDF file. To do this, you’ll need to have received an email with a PDF document attached. When you tap the PDF attachment click the icon named “Markup and Reply”. It looks like a toolbox and it should be located at the bottom right corner of your screen

Step 3: Save & send your document

When you’re all finished, go ahead and tap “Done”. The Mail app will automatically create a reply to the original email with your signed document attached. Type your email message to respond to the sender and then send it off as you usually would.

Finito! You’re finished in 3 easy steps!
