Most of you would’ve heard of Google+, Google’s effort of making their own social media network. In the past, we had suggested that all our customers create a Google+ account as it helps bump up your search ranking. However, it seems that this platform never really got picked up by most users.
It comes to no surprise that Google has decided to close down Google+ due to low usage and recent security issues. They have started winding down activities on Google+ accounts and will shut down all accounts by August 2019.
Google My Business is now its own platform, separate from Google+ which most businesses still use to list their company details on Google.
