Beds R Us is Australia’s largest independent mattress retailer. They have a unique business model where each store is independently owned by locals in the area and collectively work together to create a national brand.
Initially, they came to us to give new life to their website and have a fresh website as a catalogue, a supporting tool, for the local stores. However, with the rise in popularity of bed in a box solution, they needed to get into the online store trend and give the customer a more accessible customer experience.
Eightball has done a major revamp of the Beds R Us website, adding more specific information to each product pages and creating a more user-friendly layout. We understand that not all customer may be able to walk into a store, so we wanted to create an experience similar to if a person was to go in the store and talk to one of the bedding specialists. We wanted Beds R Us visitors to be able to have as much information as possible to make a decision on the mattress they’d like to purchase.
We created individual landing pages for each store location as well as new finance and payment option pages and blog area to drive additional organic traffic and educate customers. Although each store is independently owned, the overall image is still one national brand. It was essential that the website stays consistent in look and feel to the rest of the physical store.
Since launching the new Beds R Us’ website we have seen an increase in traffic of over 46% vs their last previous year. Since their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) engagement their store location page visits have increased by +167% and mobile device users has grown +57% on the site.
Stage 1 SEO work for Beds R Us has focused on content optimisation, on-page and off page optimisation, mobile optimisation and feeding new content through blog articles, creative artwork, social media and more. Stay tuned with plenty more to come.
