Website Development
Animal Therapeutics came to Eightball with a need for a new logo and website. They were initially a therapy product company that catered to the needs of cats, dogs, horses and people. However, their business then shifted to focus on horse therapy and products. As the exclusive distributor of Activo-Med in Australia and New Zealand, Animal Therapeutics aimed to hone their focus on selling Activo-Med products and promoting its features and benefits. As Activo-Med had no website presence in Australia, this was a great opportunity for Animal Therapeutics to align themselves as an authority of Activo-Med.
Animal Therapeutics’ previous logo had an image of a horse and a dog and they went by the name of “Animal Therapeutics Online.” The company is an online distributor and travels around the country to attend various events to showcase their products. We created a logo of a horse with a radiating pulse of a therapy system to better summarise and represent Animal Therapeutics. While developing the logo, our client came up with an idea of creating different versions of the logo to suit the distinct categories of horse competitions, such as dressage, show jumping, racing etc. The Eightball designers then developed a style that could represent different categories.
Part of the branding exercise included creating new promotional materials, such as business cards, compliment slips and brochures. We mocked up other elements for them as well, such as a branded bag and horse blanket to increase brand awareness.
The website was completely custom designed. Every page was created to display information in a way that is similar to a brochure and easy to navigate. Although a product selling business and not a service based business, it was important for us to create a website that did not look like a regular online shop that immediately tried to sell a product.
The Animal Therapeutics’ website is about educating visitors and potential customers, while positioning Animal Therapeutics as a company and brand that is intrinsic to the equestrian community and as passionate about horses as their customers.
