Website Development
When Carolyn McLean first contacted Eightball, she made it clear that she wanted a website that represented her vision, aesthetics and principles. Carolyn had spent many years working overseas in large architectural firms and had developed a large body of work from her experience. Eightball was given the task of showcasing her work and design principles in a way that was informative, modern and edgy. It was important for us to create a site that would immediately convey to prospective clients her architectural ideals and work history.
Carolyn has a clean, sophisticated and unique style that makes living spaces stunning and functional. We aspired to include the design principles that reflect Carolyn’s personal aesthetic into the layout of her website. Instead of a traditional web design, we opted to showcase her work through an editorial style. Carolyn’s site utilises large images of her designs that are supported by informative copy to portray her work and style. Each image and text are displayed symmetrically down a center line, making purusing Carolyn McLean’s website akin to reading a magazine.
The design of Carolyn McLean’s website succeeded in being both functional and beautiful. The reader is able to quickly view McLean’s work portfolio and learn about her work history in a meaningful and effective way. As a result, Carolyn and our team at Eightball are happy with the outcome of our work together.
