Working Women Queensland is a government-funded organisation who provides a free, confidential support service to working women in Queensland. We had previously worked with Working Women Queensland (WWQ) on their website and it was now time to update their website to better utilise technology and showcase their services. The project was kicked off by changing the organisation’s name to Working Women QLD as it better represented the organisation’s mission.
WWQ wanted their logo and website style to be light and flowy, with elements that mimicked calligraphy. We explored various styles and did abstract silhouettes to make the W in their logo appear like two people holding their arms up together. Their previous logo was purple and green and we have decided to move forward with using the purple as their main colour and green as an accent colour in supporting materials such as brochures and cards.
The Eightball team also reviewed their existing information brochure and condensed the information to a double sided DL flyer and redesigned the brochure to fit with their new branding.
It was important that all images chosen for the supporting materials and website showcased the diversity of women who work in QLD. We helped search through Stock Photo libraries and selected a number of images that they could add as part of their library and use in current and future promotional materials.
The website we built for WWQ had a simple and professional look. The information architecture of the site presents information in a way that’s intuitive and easy to navigate.
