Respiratory and Sleep for Kids (RSK) is a private paediatric sleep clinic in Adelaide. Upon completing his PhD, Dr Wong noticed a lack of paediatric sleep clinics in the area resulting in long waiting lists so he opened his own sleep laboratory in South Australia’s Memorial Hospital.
Having now been open to the public since 2015, Dr Wong approached us with a need to create an online presence that would provide information on services he offers in a clear and approachable manner. It was also important that both current and future patients had an accessible means of contacting the clinic.
To do this, we created a simple, responsive website with clear call to actions and easy navigation. It is not uncommon for patients (and their parents) to be overwhelmed at the prospect of a sleep trial and other medical testing. Keeping this in mind, it was important that the website is portrayed as friendly and welcoming but also instilled a feeling of trust. The use of light colours and fun iconography paired with jargon-free language helped achieve this desired outcome.
